A very heartbreaking goodbye to River

Sad news to share tonight; as quickly as River came into our lives, she had to leave us. She was just too small and young to survive the chaos of the recent floods. While we managed to get the alpacas under shelter and as dry as possible, we think that stuck in the midst of all those panicking full-grown alpacas River was injured and just couldn't pull through. We've buried her and marked the site with a ring of stones. Sleep well little River, we'll be thinking of you.
